(AKA: Horrible - The Monster Hunter)

An escaped mental patient, who has the ability to heal very quickly from injuries enters a small town and starts to kill anyone he comes into contact with. A priest is on the hunt for him but maybe the key to stopping him lies with a bedridden young girl.

Often cited as a sequel of sorts to Anthropophagous The beast that was made the year before, it's not, in fact apart from both being directed by Joe D'Amato and both featuring George Eastman as the killer there's nothing else to connect the two films really. Another movie that became infamous here in the UK when it found it's way onto the video nasties list and became one of the final 39.

It's faster moving than Anthropophagous and I think it's better made. The acting is fine and the gore and violence is pretty good for the obvious low budget. A scene where a woman has her head held in an hot oven is pretty nasty, and we even get George Eastman holding his intestines in his hands again, only this time it's at the start of the film and he doesn't try to eat them like he did in Anthropophagous The Beast!. We also get a head parted with a bandsaw, some eye abuse, a nurse getting her head drilled and even a little bit of decent suspense near the end.

If you like Italian horror or low budget films then you'll want to check it out. Not the best thing you'll see by any means but definitely better than some say.
