The
Awakening is directed by Nacho Cerda (as is all 3 of these shorts and is a B/W
short that looks like a student film and involves a guy who trapped in a
classroom when time suddenly stops. It's pretty good for what it is and looks
like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Worth a look!.
Aftermath is what this trilogy is most known for. It's an
absolutely brutal short about a mortician who's left alone with a female
corpse. After performing part of the autopsy he decides to violate the corpse
in some truly vile ways!. Be warned, this is nasty stuff with some of the most
genuinely realistic gore you'll ever see, in fact you'll probably forget on
more than one occasion that the corpses are not in fact real. It's beautifully
shot and there's no dialogue so if you have a strong stomach and can handle
extreme content then this is a must see!.
Genesis is about a sculptor who is struggling after his wife is
killed in a car accident. He creates a life size figure of her but when it
starts to bleed from wounds that appear his flesh starts to mutate into stone.
This is a stunning short full of amazing camerawork, a wonderful score, great
acting and is beautifully haunting!. It's not anywhere near as disturbing or
gory as Aftermath but you'll struggle to find a better way to spend 30 minutes
of your time. I love this movie and can't recomment it highly enough. Check it
out as soon as you can!.
