Amityville 3-D (1983)

My rating - 5/10

A reporter who likes to debunk psychics buys the infamouse house in Amityville and strange things begin to happen. It's cheesy, yes, and some of the special effects are not exactly special, especially the 3D ones, but, overall this isn't anywhere near as bad as it's reputation suggests!.

It's fun to see Meg Ryan in a very early role even is she doesn't have much to do. The story is fairly interesting but it's a shame it wasn't expanded more. Seeing the many 3D shots flat does offer some funny moments, and the ending is over the top and quite dumb but is still entertaining in a strange way!. It's definitely better than a lot of the newer entries in the franchise, just go in with an open mind and you'll find some enjoyment here.
