After trying to stop the demon by reading passages from the Necronomicon Ash gets sucked into a vortex and transported back in time to the year 1300 A.D. The people there are terrorized by the deadites and Ash is tasked with retrieving the Necronomicon which will help end the war and send him back to his own time.

The third part of the Evil Dead trilogy sees Ash in Medieval times and this entry goes all out with the comedy and slapstick. Once again Bruce Campbell plays Ash wonderfully, especially during the sillier moments like when he's fighing a group of mini versions of himself. The acting from everyone else is also good and everyone looked to be having fun in their roles. Not as gory as the first two movies but there's still some good effects here including some fun stop motion stuff.

I've seen plenty of people say that this is their favourite of the trilogy and I can see why. Personally though this is my least favourite, now, that's not saying this is a bad film or anything as it's not, it's highly entertaining and worth many re-watches as you'll always find something new that you missed before. I just prefered the scary original and the mix of scares and humour of the second over the mostly comedic approach of this one. There were two endings to this one, the one mostly seen with Ash in the supermarket, but the other had Ash waking up in an apocalyptic world which I actually liked more.
