August Underground (2001)

There's not really a plot to this, it's just home movie clips of two sick, psychotic serial killers as they go to gigs, get into fights, visit a slaughterhouse, go and get a tattoo, etc, and inbetween those there are scenes of absolutely brutal carnage as they torture, abuse and kill anyone they feel like.

The Picture and sound quality are that of a 4th generation VHS rip which really adds to the realism of it all, and most of the dialogue is improvised, again, really giving it an authentic feel. The gore is what we're realy here for though and August Underground really delivers!. The effects are super realistic and will definitely be too much for the less hardened horror fans. I could personally have done without seeing our main man in his white undies puking into a dirty toilet though.

I do like this one personally but I can also see why some find it too hard to sit through. It's definitely not one for those looking to dip their toes into the world of extreme horror, you need to build up to something like this. It's well done, very nasty and I can't imagine seeing anything more genuinely realistic that's not actually real.
