Aliens take over a small town and start to turn the population into fast food. Derek and his friends set out to stop them before everyone is eaten.

This is the first film from director Peter Jackson (Braindead, The Lord Of The Rings) and is a riot. Filmed at weekends over the course of 4 years it was made with no money, although he did get some funding to finish the film later on. Jackson and his friends didn't have a script and as Jackson thought of things during the week they set out to film it at the weekends. There's so much trivia surrounding this movie that it's really worth reading up on it all and it'll make you appreciate the film a lot more when you see just how much work went into it.

The aliens look fun and the gore effects are numereous and well done. The acting is fine especially as none of them had any experience. The humor mixes well with the sci-fi and horror elements and overall Bad Taste is one of the most entertaining low budget movies you'll likely ever see. Movies like this and The Evil Dead show what having no money but plenty of imagination can produce. Highly recommended!.
