Basket Case (1982)

After being separated when they were young, Duane Bradley now carries his deformed brother around in a basket as they set out to get revenge on the doctors that performed the operation.

A fun, gore filled cult classic that's still as entertaining today as it was back in the 80s. Filmed with virtually no money and a crew of only around 4 people (most of the people in the end credits were made up), this is a great example of what can be done with little experience and a lot of passion. There's some great trivia about the making of this that's well worth checking out. Belial, the deformed brother is a fun creation and some of the stop motion is well done. The acting and dialogue is fine and suits the grubby settings and feel to it all, there's also some striking full frontal nudity too. The gore is plentiful and well done with one scene causing the crew to get offended and walk off set. A highly recommended horror comedy.
