Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)

After seeing The Blair Witch Project a group of tourists arrive at the forest to explore the whole mythology of the Blair Witch. They soon find their sanity collapsing when strange things start to happen to them.

I'll never understand the hate this movie gets as I really enjoy it. The best way to view this is as a standalone movie and not a sequel (which is really isn't). There's some really interesting ideas, a good cast, some good effects and it moves along at a pretty decent pace. This is more of a psychological thriller than a full blown horror. The acting is good from all involved, the gore is decent but not over the top and there are a few genuinely creepy moments scattered throughout.

The main problem seems to be studio interference and that's where a lot of blame for the films negative reception comes from, but what we see on screen is still a lot of fun if you can go into it with an open mind and, again, not as a proper sequel.
