Brain Damage (1988)

A young man becomes addicted to a substance injected into his neck by a strange little talking and singing parasite. To keep his high he must provide the parasite with human victims so it can suck their brains out.

The director of Basket Case brings us another low budget slice of madness that's both funny and often very gross. Aylmer the parasite is a fun creation and the effects for him are good. There's some pretty nasty gore in this one, including a fellatio scene outside a nightclub that some of the crew found so disgusting that they walked off the production. A similar thing happened on the production of Basket Case too. The acting is good and the gore is also well done considering the low budget. I've always loved this crazy little gem but it's also one that may be a little too much for some.
