Tomb raiders looking to steal the treasures of a newly uncovered tomb have their plans interrupted when a group of fashion models discover the tomb and decide to do a shoot there. Their presence awakens a long dead mummy who, along with his undead minions go on a flesh eating rampage.

Filmed on location in Egypt Dawn Of The Mummy is still the only mummy gore film. Although far from being the best film you'll ever see I've always had a soft spot for this one since I first saw it back in the days of VHS. The acting and dialogue isn't great but you're really here for the gore, and on that front this delivers. The highlight being a scene where a woman is being eaten by a group of the undead which looks to have been lifted straight from Fulci's Zombie Flesh Eaters. Throats are torn open, limbs bitten, faces melted and a meat cleaver is planted in to a guys skull.

I also love the music too, especially the funky Egyptian score over the end credits. It can be a little slow to get to the gut munching but it's worth the wait. If you like low budget horror then I'd recommend you give this a watch.
