After helping to put an end to Jason's reign of terror a grown up Tommy is still haunted by those events. He's taken to a secluded halfway house to help him recover from his trauma but the death of one of the kids there triggers a series of brutal murders that may be commited by a revived Jason.

When it turned out that the murders were being committed by a Jason imposter a lot of fans were pissed to say the least, and as such this entry has gained a bit of a bad reputation. Sure, it's not the best by far but I enjoy this one a lot more than most seem to. There's some fun characters, some decent kills, although sadly a lot of them take place off screen, but the gore that's left is still pretty good.

John Shepherd is good as the adult Tommy and Melanie Kinnaman makes for a good and pretty final girl. The effects, when we get to see them are good and there's some decent action scattered throughout. Overall it's nowhere near as bad as it's reputation makes it out. Just go in with an open mind and you'll probably enjoy it a lot more than you think.
