Friday 13th Part 7: The New Blood (1988)

A young girl called Tina who has telekinetic powers accidently kills her father with them at Crystal Lake. Years later Tina and her mother return and Tina tries to use her powers to bring back her father, instead she brings Jason back from his watery grave and now has to fight to send him back.

A decent entry in the series that at least tries a few new ideas. It would still be quite low down in my rankings but there's still plenty of fun to be had. Lar Park-Lincoln is good as our new final girl and it's fun to see her battle jason and throw him around with just the power of her mind. As with most of these latter entries the censor digs their teeth in and a lot of the gore was cut from the death scenes making this one of the least bloody of the series. The effects that are left are still pretty good and Jason himself looks wonderfully rotted this time out. As said, not the best of the series for me but one that's still well worth a look.
