A former Nazi doctor who performed experiments on children as well as abusing them in other ways attempts to comit suicide. He fails and is now confined to an iron lung. His wife advertises for a nurse to look after him and a young man arrives and essentually forces his way in. It soon becomes clear he has more on his mind than being a nurse to this vile man and it's not long bore local kids start to go missing.

Of all the films that can be classed as "disturbing" this Spanish movie is easily one of my favourites!. The acting, direction, production and cinematography are all excellent!. There's a lot of atmosphere and some good suspense and I just love the look of it. Okay, the subject matter involving the abuse, torture and murder of children means it won't appeal to everyone, but at least they didn't make it too explicit on screen and that definitely gives more imapct to what they do show.

This is a dark, harrowing film that I'd highly recommend to those who want a well made, disturbing experience, and it's an experience that won't be easily forgotten!.
