Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978)

Alien seed pods land on earth and take root creating beautiful little flowers from their pods. A health inspector and a small group of his friends soon realize that people all around them are acting strange and emotionless and it may have something to do with the strange pods being found.

A remake of the classic 1956 movie of the same name. This is how you do a remake, it has enough differences to make it it's own movie while still keeping the same story but this version ups the paranoia, atmosphere and creepiness making it one of the best remakes ever. The cast is excellent and includes Donald Sutherland, Jeff Goldblum, Brooke Adams, Veronica Cartwright and Leonard Nimoy. The effects are great as is the score.

One of my favourite movies and comes highly recommended. Watch the original and this back to back for a fantastic double bill of creepy sci/fi horror.
