A young woman answers and advert for a maid in a remote house only to be subjected to non-stop abuse, torture and humiliation when it's discovered she cannot die.

Based on the horrific and graphic Manga, this movie doesn't quite match up to that but still manages to contain enough nastiness to upset and gross out some viewers. The acting isn't that great and the script is nothing to write home about, but some of the gore effects can be quite nauseating. Eyes gouged out, fingers chopped off, cannibalism, stabbings and some brutal chainsaw action creates a pretty bloodsoaked film that packs it all in in under an hours runtime.

There's quite a bit of nudity which adds to the sleaziness of it all and if you have a thing for Japanese girls in maids outfits then this will suit you just fine. Not one of the more extreme Japanese gore films but it does earn it's place on any list of disturbing movies and it's definitely not for everyone. Worth a look if you're after something a little different, but if you've read the Manga first then you may find it a little tame in comparison.
