Ten years after a massacre that left 22 people dead a young man returns to his hometown only for more killings to start and everyone in the town, apart from his ex girlfriend thinks he's the killer.

28 years after the release of the original My Bloody Valentine this remake comes along, and as far as remakes go it's not a bad effort. Tom Atkins stars as a sheffif, it's always good to see him pop up. The rest of the cast are also pretty good and this version also has the added gimmick of being in 3D. Seeing it in 3D was actually pretty fun as I'm a bit of a sucker for this gimmick, but also seeing it flat makes for an entertaining experience. The gore is very good and there's plenty of it, including lots of pick axe mayhem into stomachs, heads, etc. Eyes popped out, stabbings, and much more. There's some striking full frontal nudity as a woman is stalked by our gas mask wearing killer only for her death to be off screen which was a let down. I still prefer the modest original but this is worthy remake and definitely worth seeing in either its 3D or flat version.
