Robert works for a clean up crew who remove bodies from accident scenes. He also like to collect various body parts from the victims to take home for his collection. One day he takes home a whole corpse for him and his wife Betty to engage in a threesome with. When betty leaves him and runs off with the corpse Robert's life spirals out of control.

This infamous movie still has the power to shock and disgust any newcomers who stumble across it. The director admitted that he only made it as a way to piss off the strict German censors, and to shock and gross out as many people as possible, and indeed he did!. The acting is decent, the score is amazing and the gore is excellent considering it was made with virtually no money. Even today the putrid, slimy corpse looks wonderfully gross. Saying that, the end scene with the penis does look too fake, but, if you can see a Japanese version then it's pixilated and it makes the scene far better. A rare case where censorship actually helps.

Definitely not a starter movie for those wanting to get into the more extreme side of cinema but it's a classic of it's kind and I've always been a big fan of not just this, but all of Jorg Buttgeriet's work. Be warned though, there's a prolonged scene showing a rabbit being killed and skinned (real). There's also a scene where a cat is placed in a sack and bashed against a wall, although this is fake it'll still piss off animal lovers.
