I've always had a soft spot for this wonderful low budget scifi/horror from Don Dohler!. I love the fact that it doesn't waste any time, and within the first five minutes the creature arrives on earth and starts it's killing spree. It's never explained why it came to earth, and to be honest it doesn't matter. Dohler also doesn't waste any time hiding the creature in the shadows until the end like most of these types of films do. From the start it's there front and centre in all it's glory.

The creature itself is pretty cool looking especially considering the movies low budget. There's lots of cheesy looking visual effects involving people being disolved from the Aliens laser weapon. There's also some half decent gore too. Arms are ripped off, guts are pulled out, faces are burned to a crisp, and again, considering the film was made with very little money it's all pretty impressive.

The acting and script isn't great as you'd expect and I'm sure most of the cast are just family and friends of the director. A lot of it was filmed in the houses of the cast members and around the local Baltimore area. This was a staple on VHS back in the day and it could be found in pretty much every place that stocked tapes. It was obviously made with a lot of love and passion and if you're a fan of low budget films then I'd highly recommend this fun little gem!.
