A
scientist attempts to train a scanner to help stop a rogue scanner from using
his powers to destroy normal humans which leads to a brutal confrontation
between the two.
Obviously the star of the show are the special effects
including what is surely the best exploding head scene in any movie. Michael
Ironside is great as one of the scanners and Stephen Lack gives a good
performance too. The action is exciting, especially during the scan off climax
where we get veins popping out, eyes exploding, blood spraying and
more.
Definitely worth watching if you like your horror mixed with a
healthy dose of sci/fi. It can be a little slow moving in places which may be
off putting to some, but the action and gore more than make up for
it.
