Street Trash (1987)

A liquor store owner discovers a case of strange bottles in his celler containing a drink called "Viper". He decides to sell it to the local bums to make a little extra cash but the drink has a very nasty habit of causing those who drink it to melt into puddles of brightly coloured goo.

A cult movie if ever there was one, this insane slice of low budget madness is a blast from start to finish. Filled with colourful characters, some fun humour (a homeless guy chasing his severed penis around a junk yard), lots of very graphic and often quite gross practical effects and even a couple of pretty sleazy moments for those who like that sort of thing. This movie doesn't give a damn who it offends and I'm pretty sure it actively tries to offend as many as possible which is awesome!. The acting is actually pretty good, it's well made and the many effects scenes are very well done. Probably best not to eat before watching this one. As far as horror comedies go this may be too gross for some people, but it's well worth checking out and I've always really enjoyed going back to rewatch it.
