Two American students team up with a Romanian girl to study Romanian culture but get caught up in a battle between two vampire brothers for possession of the bloodstone.

Angus Scrimm, the Tall Man from Phantasm stars in this low budget but entertaining B-movie that's become a bit of a cult classic over the years. The makeup for the brother Radu is excellent and he has the look and feel of an ancient vampire along the lines of Nosferatu. The acting from all involved is good for what it is and the whole thing has a cool gothic feel to it. The effects for the little demons look very dated, but they have a certain charm to them that's fun to watch. The rest of the gore is decent considering the budget and overall this is well worth checking out for fans of vampire movies. The scenery is beautiful too, it was filmed in Romania and was the first American movie to be made there.
