Taste The Blood Of Dracula (1970)

My rating - 6/10

3 middle aged gentlemen get to know a decendant of Dracula called Lord Courtley while looking for some excitement in their boring lives. When Courtley pushes things too far they kill him and unknowingly being Dracula back to life. He vows revenge by making the gentlemen's children kill them off one by one.

This one begins where Dracula Has Risen From The Grave ended and is a decent entry in Hammer's Dracula series. The film does ramp up the gore a bit and was even rated R in the states. The UK cinema release was also cut by a few seconds. The cast is great with Christopher Lee back as the count even though by this time he had very little interest in the movies due to his lack of screen time. Linda Hayden looks beautiful as always as Alice and Ralph Bates is also great as Lord Courtley.

The gore is good and quite plentyful for a Hammer film of this era. Overall I'd give this one a recommendation as one of the better of the series.
