When an actor known for playing vampire roles decides he now only wants to do romantic movies a couple of screenwriters and their girlfiriends travel to his castle to try and convince him to change his mind. Once there they start to wonder if his vampire roles were more than just an act.

Seeing Peter Cushing playing a vampire is a rare treat, sadly it's one of the only good things about this very strange and very obscure French movie. Personally I don't dislike this as much as most who have seen it do, but it's obscure for a reason. The acting (except from Cushing of course) is pretty awful, the gore is cheap, the humour doesn't hit the mark, there's a lot of nudity and sex in it and seeing the great Peter Cushing in among all this just doesn't feel right for some reason.

It's worth a look if you like Peter Cushing just don't expect much from it, but you'll probably find yourself fast forwarding to his scenes after a while.
