The Company Of Wolves (1984)

A teenage girl named Rosaleen living in present day falls asleep and had strange nightmares involving werewolves in back in the Middle Ages.

A beautiful, surreal adult fairytale that takes it's cues clearly from Little Red Riding Hood. The sets and costumes are sumptous, the acting is great from everyone as you'd expect from the likes of Brian Glover, David Warner and Angela Lansbury. A special mention to the stunning Sarah Patterson in her first role as the troubled teenager Rosaleen. She's excellent and I'm surprised she didn't go on to be a huge star, in fact it seems she only appeared in four movies in total.

The effects are very good with some great looking transformations and some pretty cool looking gore including decapitated heads and skin peeled of faces. It's a movie that's quite hard to describe so do yourselves a favour, if you haven't seen this little masterpiece yet then get on it!.
