A young woman who's withdrawn and shy around people takes a trip to Aegean. Entranced by the culture she decides to end her loneliness.

First off this is a Marian Dora movie and that will be enough to send many people running scared. Don't run to far though as this may be his most tame movie yet. Okay, there's still plenty of imagery and bodily fluids that'll put a lot of people off, although they're quite limited this time. Maria squatting naked over a skull and pissing on it, lots of full frontal male and female nudity, masturbation that's close up and very explicit, sexual violence and of course some animal death, it is a Dora movie after all, but at least this time it's almost all stuff like fish being gutted at a market and things like that. We don't get an endless parade of animals being killed just for "entertainment" value.

As always the film looks great, the dialogue is fine although there really isn't that much of it. The necrophilia scenes are quite mild and the gore is also limited. Overall if you're going to dip your toes into Dora's work but have been scared to due to the reputation his films have then this is a pretty good place to start. I'd even go as far as to say this is my favourite of all his works so far.
