The V/H/S franchise returns to give us 5 more stories this time halloween related.

The wraparound story "Diet Phantasma" is one of the weakest of the series. Some scentists get a bunch of people to test out a new diet soda only for each one to suffer horrific side effects. Some good gore along the way but as each section is just pretty much the same thing it gets old quite fast.

Stroy one "Coochie Coochie Coo" is about two young women who go trick or treating for the last time before they go off to collage. They eventually end up at a strange old house and find themselves trapped inside. They discover they're not alone and as they come across some disgusting and horrifying things they realise they may never get out alive. This is a fun story with some genuinely creepy moments mixed in with some gross special effects. It also has a pretty satisfying conclusion too. (7/10)

Story two "Ut Supra Sic Infra" involves some detectives taking a man back to a crime scene where a bunch of people died so he can recount what happened. My least favourite of the stories!. It's not bad but of all the five it's the one that interested me the least. In its favour it does have some pretty nasty eye gougings and a scene of a man puking up some eyeballs... Lovely!. (4.5/10)

Stroy three "Fun Size" is another really fun one and is about a group of friends going trick or treating. They come across a basket outside a house with a sign on it that says "take one only". Of course greed rears it's ugly head and they ignore it only to be transported into a strange building where they are hunted and killed only to have their body parts turned into candy for the basket. Some very creepy moments and plenty of impressive and inventive gore really make this one a lot of fun. My second favourite of the five. (7/10)

Story four "Kidprint" is by far the most controversial story of any of the V/H/S movies and if you have a problem with child abduction and child murder then you may want to skip this one. After visiting an electronics store the kids of a local town vanish. The owner finds some VHS tapes that shows the missing kids being tortured and killed. This one doesn't hold back in it's depiction of children being tormented, and as said it may be too much for some. It's a good story though with a pretty disturbing end. (6.5/10)

Story five "Home Haunt" is about a family that liek to go all out for halloween and turn their house into a haunted attraction for the locals. This year they teenage son isn't interested but his parents persuade him to take part. After visiting a store his comes home with a record, but when played it turns the families fun haunted house into a real life nightmare. Not a bad story to finish on but it's probably my second least favourite overall. It has some good gore but it's a little too predictable. I did like spotting makeup effects legend Rick Baker in a cameo in this segment though. (5.5/10).

Overall I found this to be a good entry in the series. It's not the best nor worst and has enough good stories to keep it moving along nicely. It's also one of the goriest entries which really helped too. It'll be one I go back to a few more times.
