Hammer House Of Horror - Episode 11 - Visitor From The Grave

After being released from a mental institution Penny relaxes at her cottage. When an intruder, a business rival of her husband, breaks in one night she kills him with a shotgun and when her husband returns home he helps her hide the body to protect her. As time goes on she starts to see the dead man in various different locations leading her on a downward spiral into insanity.

This episode seems to get a bit of a bad rap and appears low down on most peoples lists of favourite episodes but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some make out. Sure, some of the effects look a bit dated now and the twist ending you'll see coming a mile off, but it's still got some good atmosphere and a few creepy scenes along the way. Both Simon MacCorkindale and Kathryn Leigh Scott are good in their respective roles. It's far from being one of the best episodes in the series but it's still a fun one. 6/10
