Hammer House Of Horror - Episode 12 - The Two Faces Of Evil

Janet, Martin and their son David are drving along an isolated road on a stormy night. They stop to pick up a hitch-hiker but he attacks them causing the car to crash. Waking up in hospital Janet leanrs that her husband has a damaged throat and is unable to speak. Once back home she notices her husband acting strange and when she had to identify the body of the hitch-hiker she sees he looks identical to her husband and realizes the man in her house may not be all he seems.

One of the more creepy episodes in the series, the opening is great and from then on the tension mounts as Janet tries to figure out if her husband is really the right man or an imposter. There's definitely Invasion Of The Body Snatchers influences here and it works very well. Anna Calder-Marshall and Gary Raymond are both excellent in their lead roles and even though some may feel the ending is a slight let down it doesn't really spoil creepiness of the episode as a whole. 7/10.
